Where:
The Germantown Performing Arts Center is located in the heart of Shelby County, and has served the greater metro Memphis area for over twenty years. Accessible to all members of the community, the theater has a strong commitment to local art and enrichment. GPAC presents world-renowned performing artists regularly, and it also features rotating visual art exhibits and educational activities for all ages year round.
The Grove at GPAC is a unique outdoor venue that uses the elegance of nature to create an open and inviting space for entertaining and education. Guests can mingle under a canopy of trees in a comfortable, accessible space that connects them with the arts, and allows them to be more of a participant in events, rather than mere observers.
Why:
You can’t beat an autumn evening out with friends or family, even if it still feels like summer! Germantown is experiencing dynamic growth in several sectors right now, real estate included, but it never loses its hometown feel. Events like the GPAC Food Truck & Music Festival contribute to that strong communal bond, but you don’t have to be a resident to take advantage of it – Germantown’s many community events throughout the year are open to the public, and are often free or low cost. Grab a blanket or a few chairs, and come enjoy the fresh air, free music, and mouth-watering food truck options!
