Memphis is a city known for its soul, and perhaps no area has more soul than vibrant Midtown, where many homes are being renovated to capture their original splendor in the historic Cooper-Young neighborhood. New to midtown is something old. The old Sears building has been redeveloped into Crosstown Concourse, a mixed-use vertical urban village, where people gather to live, work and play. New businesses, restaurants, nightspots, and galleries have opened, and vintage clothing stores, coffee houses, street festivals, and art galleries featuring local artists give the area a vibrant bohemian vibe.

While the exact boundaries of Midtown are often disputed, the area itself is located east of downtown Memphis and to the west of the area considered East Memphis. Interstate 240 represents the western border which divides Midtown from the downtown area and the Memphis medical district.

Midtown Memphians never have to look far for fun. A home to many restaurants, nightspots, and art galleries, as well as unique vintage clothing stores and coffee houses, Midtown is never short on entertainment. Midtown also serves as home to the Brooks Museum of Art, the Memphis Zoo, and Liberty Bowl Stadium, home of Memphis Tigers football. Street festivals, such as the annual Cooper-Young festival are sure to offer something fun for all ages.
